Claimed by so many including Enzo Ferrari himself, as one of the best cars ever built, & years after Enzo's comments I think that is a fair comment still today.
Truly Iconic, if you ask young & old a good percentage of people know what these cars are. It gives me an absolute thrill every time I drive one of these & a smile as big as a Cheshire Cat.
To this car then
In 2016 this car was treated to a body of restoration. The car was stripped & the body shell sent for a complete repaint.
During this time the engine & gearbox where rebuilt including a conversion to run on Unleaded.
There are so many invoices in the history file there is too much to list here. However I can say the restoration was tens & tens of thousands.
The car was completed with a new set of bucket style heritage period seats, that look absolutely stunning & are very comfy.
This series 1 E Type (Often nicknamed the series 1.5 due to it being the upgraded version) is the 4.2 litre version as the later S1's where upgraded from 3.8lr to 4.2lt & had much more power & better driving characteristics.
Here sat on a Brand New set of wire wheels to finish, this Roadster version of the S1, is immaculate throughout, having just undergone a light refresh by ourselves to bring it back to tip top condition.
